The 2024 Leaf Metal Women of Sport checklist introduced the DEBUT of the first-ever, female, multi-sport product the hobby’s ever seen. Highlighting many of the greatest female athletes from around the world with many of their first-ever autographed cards.
Charles Martinet is an American actor, best known for voicing Mario in the “Super Mario” franchise, portraying him from 1991 to 2023. He also voiced other characters in the series such as Luigi and Wario prior to retiring as voice actor to become an official brand ambassador for the series. What is cooler than a White Mojo 2-of-2 card? A White Mojo inscribed “Mario” and drawing indeed!
Leaf Pop Century has always been the industry standard for celebrity-based products. For 2024, all-new inscriptions appeared from autographed celebs with thousands of uniquely inscribed cards.
The 1996 Playboy “Chromium Covers Edition 2” set from Sports Time Inc., featured 100 base chromium cards (numbered 100-199) showcasing classic “Playboy” magazine covers, plus inserts like Celebrity Refractors, Illustration Refractors, and Autograph Cards, with key cards including Hugh Hefner and Lynda Rhys Vaughn, and special mail-ins for sets spelling "PLAYBOY," making a comprehensive checklist a mix of these cover cards and rare inserts.
In 1996, Edition 2 issued Hugh Hefner 24kt Gold Signature Card “redemptions” as part of the set. At the time of issue, these were limited edition pulls. So, you can only imagine surprise when I ripped an eBay-purchased box in 2023 to come across this very card. The redemption – of course – is no longer valid, as the issuing company’s program has long since ended.. and Hugh Hefner sadly passed away in 2017. A tough break, but I did decide to have the card slabbed just for conversation-sake and to enjoy “what could have been” discussions years later with friends.
2011 was a monumental, chaotic year for the Kardashians, defined by Kim's lavish wedding to Kris Humphries in August, followed by her filing for divorce just 72 days later, a saga documented on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and the spin-off “Kourtney and Kim Take New York,” alongside business ventures like their Kardashian Kollection, Kourtney’s pregnancy announcement, and Khloe’s spin-off “Khloe & Lamar,” solidifying their reality TV empire amidst constant media attention.
Base autographs were not serial numbered in 2011 Pop Century from Leaf, but the “Keeping It Real” autograph set featured big names to make it up – from Jose Canseco to Pamela Anderson to Vince Neil. But the big inserts aren’t the only thing to search for in the checklist. Have you spotted the “error” yet? Those with a close eye will likely notice that the card features a photograph of Kim sporting sunglasses in the middle. But this #KR-KK3 card is actually Kourtney Karshasian’s card and features her signature too. It’s a double-whammy, but that fittingly makes sense with all the chaos that comes from the Kardashian family anyways.

Leaf Metal Pop Century took an “everything-goes approach” with its’ checklist in 2024.. Actors, singers, athletes, athletes turned actors — collectors will never know what could pop up. The one guarantee? The product is definitely shifting back to being all autographs. And for starters, the base autographs act as a both a foundation for the product as a whole, as well as a catch-all as far as subjects go. The “base autographs” checklist includes 188 cards, and the crystal version in dark blue is numbered to 6 or less.
The 1991 Starline Hollywood Walk of Fame set included 250 cards, and was a favorite for older autograph collectors. In addition to the 250, there were an additional 7 that were corrected cards. Since 1991, many of these celebrities have passed away. Jerry Lewis personally signed this card in 2005.
Jerry Lewis (March 16, 1926 – August 20, 2017) was an American comedian, actor, signer, humanitarian, director, writer, producer and was famously nicknamed “The King of Comedy.” His career rose to prominence together with singer Dean Martin, billed as Martin and Lewis in 1946. For ten years, the two did a series of 16 buddy-comedy films, along with their televised run on “The Colgate Comedy hour,” live stage performances, guest spots on other shows and a radio series.
The 2025 Leaf Metal Pop Century includesd several new features and inserts, such as "Christmas Movie Stars," "Blockbuster Movie Stars," and "Villains" subsets. The cards are made with a metal finish and vibrant Pearl technology is also featured. This awesome “Silver Kaleidoscope” scored a perfect GEM MT 10, and is numbered 2-of-5 too!
McCarthy began her career as a Playboy model in 1993 and was named Playmate of the Year in 1994. McCarthy rose to mainstream fame as a co-host of MTV's Singled Out (1995–1997) and later starred in her own sitcom, Jenny.
