In 1989 Michael Jordan averaged 32.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game for the Chicago Bulls during the regular season, earning selections to the All-NBA First Team and the NBA All-Defensive First Team. He also hit "The Shot," a famous game-winning buzzer-beater over Craig Ehlo in the playoffs to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round
Issued from 2000 until 2018, these SGC slabs added the URL to the label and a gold hologram on the back of the label. The label border was green until 2017, when a perfect 100 score began getting a gold border instead. The 1989-90 Fleer basketball set consists of 168 standard-size cards. The cards were distributed in 15-card wax packs (and one sticker) and in 36-card rack packs. Wax boxes contained 36 packs. The fronts feature color action player photos, with various color borders between white inner and outer borders. The player's name and position appear in the upper left corner, with the team logo superimposed over the upper right corner of the picture. The horizontally oriented backs have black lettering on red, pink, and white background and present career statistics, biographical information, and a performance index. The set is ordered alphabetically in team subsets (with a few exceptions due to late trades). The only subset is All-Star Game Combos (163-167). Rookie Cards of note in this set include Hersey Hawkins, Jeff Hornacek, Kevin Johnson, Reggie Lewis, Dan Majerle and Danny Manning. Cards from this set are frequently found off-center unfortunately.
